I know this is in Beta, but it doesn’t work at all? In settings I have no “Email Reminder” tab in order to toggle “Enable Event reminders for this event” and click save. So I went to the extensions tab and tried to click manage, which then took me into what looks like the “Email Reminder” tab and all that is there is a “Save Changes” with no option to change anything. When I clicked save pages it took me to the following URL /wp-admin/admin-post.php – which was blanc.
In Settings > Email I can see the “Event Reminder Email” and go into it and edit it, enable or disable it. But, when I go into an Event, the Event Settings does not contain an “Email Reminder” section like your screen grab above.
I wondered if it was clashing with Theme or other plugins so I did a clean WordPress install with no plugins other than the main EventPrime and this beta extension to see if it worked and it was exactly the same. So I’m a little puzzled.
This Extension is Exactly what we need so would love to see it working.
Regarding the issue with the Email Reminders please download and install the updated beta version of the Email Reminders plugin from the link below: link
This version addresses the blank page issue and should allow you to configure settings as expected. If you encounter any further difficulties or have additional feedback, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help.
Thank you for link, new version working!
I know this is in Beta, so wanted to feedback thoughts so far:
– Limited placeholders a little frustrating
I assumed the current email placeholders would also work but they don’t, {venue_address}, {event_type_name} etc would be extremely useful. We have multiple venues so this means we can’t really use the Global setting at the moment as venue information is a vital part of our reminders.
– No HTML formatting in “Custom Email Body”
The Global Reminder does keep the formatting, but even when wrapping the text in HTML the “Custom Email Body” strips it all out. I modified the class-eventprime-event-reminder-emails-admin.php and managed to get HTML working in “Custom Email Body” as a temp fix.
– Placeholders don’t work in the subject line?
There is an example in the subject line that uses one of the placeholders so I used them, but none of them appear to work currently?
Wish List:
This may be too niche to be considered, but having the ability to create “Templates” would be amazing. So instead of having “Use Global Reminder Email Template” you could perhaps have a dropdown with “Global” and other additional templates you’ve set up. We are looking to make use of the Custom Email Body as it stands, but will be essentially copy and pasting 3 main templates in, while this is fine, any amends would need to be made multiple times.
Thank you for your valuable feedback and for testing the beta version. We truly appreciate your detailed insights and suggestions — they’re incredibly helpful as we continue refining the feature.
