Tyler Davis is a gifted saxophonist known for his passionate and soulful playing style. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Tyler grew up immersed in the city’s vibrant jazz scene. His parents were both musicians, and they encouraged him to start playing the saxophone at the age of 10.
By the time he was a teenager, Tyler was already a regular performer at local jazz clubs, impressing audiences with his virtuosic saxophone solos. After graduating from high school, he moved to New York City to study at the prestigious Juilliard School, where he honed his skills under the tutelage of some of the world’s top jazz musicians.
Today, Tyler is a sought-after saxophonist, known for his ability to convey a range of emotions through his playing. He has recorded several albums as a bandleader and has worked with some of the biggest names in jazz, including Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, and Esperanza Spalding.
Offstage, Tyler is a passionate advocate for jazz education, and he spends much of his time mentoring young musicians and leading workshops and masterclasses. He is also a prolific composer, and his original compositions have been performed by jazz ensembles around the world.
