Miles Grove is a highly skilled jazz bassist known for his groovy and soulful playing style. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Miles was surrounded by music from a young age. His father was a jazz pianist and his mother was a vocalist, and they often performed together at local jazz clubs.
Inspired by his parents and the vibrant jazz scene in Detroit, Miles began playing bass at the age of 12. He quickly developed a natural talent for the instrument, and by the time he was in high school, he was already playing gigs around the city.
After graduating from high school, Miles moved to New York City to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional jazz musician. He quickly made a name for himself in the city’s jazz scene, earning a reputation for his infectious bass lines and impeccable sense of groove.
Today, Miles is a sought-after bassist, known for his ability to anchor a band with his solid and melodic bass lines. He has recorded several albums as a bandleader and has worked with a diverse range of musicians, from traditional jazz artists to avant-garde experimentalists. Offstage, Miles is a passionate music educator, mentoring young musicians and leading workshops and masterclasses around the world.
