Import Export WordPress Events – EventPrime Guide

Quick Overview

  • Navigate the EventPrime Menu:
    • Go to your WordPress Dashboard and locate the EventPrime menu on left-hand side admin panel bar.
    • Click on the Import Export option.
  • Explore the Import Export Page:
    • On the Import Export Page, you’ll find three tabs: Import, Export, and Third-Party Plugin.

Google Events Import and Export:

  • Acquiring Google Calendar API Keys:
    • Click on this link and choose PHP.
    • Enable the Google Calendar API and access credentials, copy the Client ID.
    • Create an OAuth client ID with Web Application as the Application Type.
  • Importing/Exporting Events from Google Calendar:
    • Return to the Import Export page.
    • Under the Import tab, select Import Google Calendar.
    • Provide Calendar ID and Google API Key, choose Start and End Dates, then click Check.
    • Authorize the process on the redirect page for successful import/export.
  • Import with Third-Party Plugins:
    • Go back to the Import Export page.
    • Under the Third-Party Plugin tab, select The Event Calendar and click Import.
    • Upon completion, receive a confirmation message: Events Imported Successfully.
  • Verification:
    • Return to the EventPrime menu.
    • Click on Events to confirm the successful import of all Events.

Acquiring Google Calendar API Keys

For Google Events Import and Export, the first step involves obtaining Google Calendar API Keys.

Click on this link and select PHP.

Scroll down and click on Enable the Google Calendar API.

Navigate to the API Console.

Click on ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES.

Scroll down on the API Library page and click Google Calendars API.

Next, click on the Manage button.

Access Credentials and copy the Client ID.

Click on Create Credential and choose OAuth client ID.

Keep the Application Type as Web Application. Next, fill in the details and click on the Create button.

Importing/Exporting Events from Google Calendar

After obtaining the API keys, proceed with the following steps:

Go back to Import Export Page, and under Import tab click on Import link under Google Calendar.

Enter the Calendar ID and Google API Key. Next, select the Start and End Dates for importing/exporting Events, and click Check. You will be redirected to the authorization page. Once authorized, Events will be imported or exported to your Calendar.

Import with Third-Party Plugins

For users opting for third-party plugins, the process is simpler:

Go back to Import Export page, click on the Third-Party Plugin tab. Under this tab, select The Event Calendar and then click on the Import button next to it.

Once you have completed the import, you will receive a confirmation message stating, Events Imported Successfully.

Return to the EventPrime menu and click on Events to verify whether all Events have been imported successfully.
