To obtain an API key from Mailchimp for our extension, please follow these steps:

Begin by creating a Mailchimp account by visiting their official website and completing the registration process.

Once your account is set up, access your profile by clicking on the corresponding option located on the right-hand side of the Mailchimp interface.

Within your profile, navigate to the Extras section, where you will find the option to create API keys.

Click on Create API Key to proceed with generating a new API key for your extension.

After completing the previous step, a new API key will be automatically generated. Copy the generated key and paste it into the appropriate field in our extension.

So, here we got API key to enter in our EventPrime Extension.

How to Integrate Mailchimp with EventPrime:

Step 1: First, access the EventPrime options on your WordPress dashboard and click on Settings.

Step 2: Next, navigate to the Extensions tab and click on it.

Step 3: In the Extensions tab, locate the Mailchimp Integration extension and click on Manage.

Step 4: Allow Mailchimp integration by clicking the provided button.

Step 5: Enter the API key that you generated earlier (refer to the method explained above).

Step 6: Now, on the EventPrime options, you’ll find the Mailchimp option. Click on it.

Step 7: You will need to provide the following details:

• List Name: Enter a name for your list according to your preference.
• Description: Write a brief description of the list.
• Select List: Choose a list from your Mailchimp account.
• Map Field: Map your Mailchimp fields with the corresponding EventPrime fields.

So, first start with selecting List and then map your Mailchimp fields and EventPrime fields.

After making these changes, save List.

Also, you can add multiple List on same page using Add New Mailchimp List.

Step 8: Next, select the Mailchimp list for a specific event. Go to the event’s settings, click on Mailchimp.

Now, check Enable Mailchimp.

Then, choose your desired list from the dropdown menu.

Also, enable Mailchimp tab to see Mailchimp options on User Profile.

Remember to update the event.

Step 9: During the checkout process for that event, select the subscription list you configured.

Step 10: Now, you should see the changes reflected in your Mailchimp account list.

Also, you can access your subscription list on User Profile page.
